Indigenous made music from North America

Samian

Samian

No Title

No Description

Samian who sings in French and Algonquin. This single was released in support of #JusticeForJoyce. Here’s a bad translation into english of the French but not of the Algonquin.
,
Once again in the name of my people I return to the tempo.
Too bad if you don’t like them, I like them too much.
Always the same fight, with words I debate
Against their shitty politics and state secrets.
Knives fly low
At my place to die the birds do not hide
There is more than one people crying out for help
Quebec, Canada under an apartheid regime
,
Nanikotin kitasosonan kin ekiocito8an 8aniikan
Misa8atc nipak8ian tak8an aiam8mie8in kitci nakatciiko8an
,
You don’t know? That doesn’t mean you’re ignorant.
At school they tell you that they have discovered a continent
The truth is sometimes hard to hear
That’s why they’ve been hiding it for more than 150 years.
I’m fed up with lies, fed up with hypocrisy…
I’m fed up with the bloodstains on my country’s flag.
Under government supervision, we do not live in the same
world
Indian reserves, poor like the Third World
We are talking about the Holocaust, Rwanda, the millions of deaths in the
Congo
In North America, it’s a genocide in dribs and drabs.
Our leaders want status Indians
Because they are afraid of educated Indians
,
Nanikotin kitasosonan kin ekiocito8an 8aniikan
Misa8atc nipak8ian tak8an aiam8mie8in kitci nakatciiko8an
,
In the name of sold and uprooted children
On behalf of missing and murdered women
Women unknowingly tied up
A well-planned Genocide, and it goes on
Children of the British within the meaning of the law
The Indian Act of a country without faith or law
For them we are only a subject
Political prisoners in the name of his majesty
1969 and their fucking white paper
Or rather how to wash your hands with the blood of the innocent.
They dreamed of a white America
Assassins printed on their banknotes.
,
The ban on speaking our languages is Genocide.
Killing the Indian inside the human being is Genocide.
Stealing and selling children is Genocide
Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women is a
Genocide
The Canadian Constitution, is a Genocide
,
Nanikotin kitasosonan kin ekiocito8an 8aniikan
Misa8atc nipak8ian tak8an aiam8mie8in kitci nakatciiko8an
